Going for a Song!

Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NUTH) is running  drop-in choir sessions at the Royal Victoria Infirmary’s Medicinema for patients and carers receiving care within the Newcastle Hospitals Trust, (whether they are currently staying in a Newcastle
hospital as inpatients or are accessing NUTH services as outpatients

The choir will meet every other Tuesday between 10.30am and 11.30am on Tuesday 23rd of October, Tuesday 6th and 20th of November and the 4th and 18th of December.

Patients and carers are welcome to join in as often or as little as they want or are able to, and each session is free.

There are many health benefits of singing in a choir including improved mental wellbeing and increased self-esteem, reduced stress, depression, worry, loneliness, and isolation.
