Any form of violence or abuse against staff is unacceptable.
Should a violent incident occur a significant event meeting shall be called as soon as possible, with as many people as appropriate within the practice. Decisions shall be taken at that meeting on how to manage the resulting situation both for the staff person affected and the patient who carried it out. Ultimately the patient could be removed from the patient list
